The King’s Head is the UK’s oldest pub theatre, and our historic building has been here since the Victorian age. Our auditorium requires a huge amount of maintenance, and we have big ideas about how to improve it. Without any public subsidy or funding, it is so important for us to find the funds elsewhere to maintain and improve the building. For this reason, we add a 50 pence donation to every ticket we sell, which goes directly towards achieving this goal. This restoration levy serves as an essential part of our development, without which we would struggle to keep the theatre open.
We are grateful for your support of our work, and hope that you can appreciate the importance of this small contribution to keep us open and operating.
