With big laughs, big illusions and even bigger characters, Houdini’s Greatest Escape is a fast paced, madcap adventure about the world’s most famous escapologist, fresh from a national tour that had audiences across the country rolling in the aisles.

The world’s greatest entertainer, Harry Houdini, and his wife Bess, go on the run when they are framed for murder by a corrupt chief of police who is in the pocket of an eccentric criminal gang and the superstar medium, Agatha. As they fight to clear their name they meet a host of outrageous characters (played by just 2 actors), make daring escapes and even, briefly, join the circus!

Taking inspiration from Houdini’s real-life crusade against fraud mediums, Houdini’s Greatest Escape is packed with jaw-dropping illusions by Pete Firman (Good Omens), and laugh-out-loud humour, suitable for all ages.

If you like The 39 Steps, The Play That Goes Wrong, or good old fashioned entertainment like Tommy Cooper and the Two Ronnies, this is the show for you!
