As Yet Unscene - A new artist development opportunity!
Calling all writers, directors and actors! King’s Head Theatre is excited to partner with Counterminers on a new initiative for the development of brand new theatre.
‘As Yet UnScene’ is a year-round programme dedicated to finding the most exciting new scripts out there whilst they’re still in the early stages of the lengthy redrafting process. The initiative is designed to help those early versions find the artistic support they need to flourish into fantastic pieces of new writing.
There are three stages to the process, all of which occur year-round and serve plays at different stages of their development. These include days for workshopping and rehearsed-readings, and fully-rehearsed performances of longer extracts. It is our hope that with each script submission, each reading, and each showcase, we will be continually forging a growing community of creatives who support each other in their artistic development, all whilst making brilliant new theatre together!
Script submissions are now open! See the link below for more information and to submit a script. Applications to direct and perform in our initial ‘Scene 2’ workshopping and reading days will be open soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
Make sure you sign up for membership to the KHT Artists Club to get 50% off the participation fee for ‘As Yet UnScene’!
