The Pitchfork Disney by Philip Ridley
27 August - 4 October
Ten years ago something terrible happened to Presley and Haley. Since then they've lived alone, doors bolted against the terrors of the world. Until one night, Presley invites in their worst nightmare… Lidless Theatre presents a major revival of Philip Ridley’s seminal masterpiece. Darkly comic, deeply unsettling, and pulsing with the thrum of sexual anxiety, it is a play whose relevance is forever in the now.
Invasive Species by Maia Novi
3 September - 3 October
Invasive Species is a dark comedy and true story about Maia, an immigrant actor who will stop at nothing to achieve her dream of being in the American movies, even if that means having to act her way out of a youth psychiatric ward. After being named one of the best cultural works of the year by The Hollywood Reporter and racking up more than 17 million views on TikTok, the New York cult hit invades London this autumn for a strictly limited 5-week run.
Fanny by Calum Finlay
10 October - 15 November
Meet Fanny Mendelssohn. You'll probably know her younger brother Felix, from nineteenth-century smash hits like 'The Wedding March' and Queen Victoria’s favourite, ‘Italien’. The only problem was Felix didn’t write it. The piece of music was Fanny’s, quietly published under her brother's name. Fanny is a joyful and irreverent comedy celebrating music, family and – at last – the work of a composer overlooked because of her sex.
The Fit Prince (who gets switched on the square in the frosty castle the night before (insert public holiday here))
by Linus Karp & Joseph Martin
2 December - 3 January
Following the sold-out, award-winning shows Gwyneth Goes Skiing and Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story, Awkward Productions are back with a brand new show that Flicks through the Net of traditional holiday movies, bringing all their Hallmarks together in the signature awkwardprods way - queer, chaotic, comedic and heartfelt. Grab your bags, you’re going to Swedonia.
