A Tom Stoppard version of a whodunit.
When Donner is found dead at the bottom of the stairs, fellow artists Martello and Beachamp accuse one another of the murder. Looking back at their lives over the last 50 years, they attempt to uncover the truth of the murder while musing on the meaning of life and art.
Originally a radio play, Dan Crawford, the Artistic Director of the King’s Head Theatre, saw its potential to be adapted for a stage production in 1988. The play was extremely successful and transferred to the West End and then went on to Broadway.
Join us after the reading as we sit down with original director Tim Luscombe, to discuss what it was like working with Tom Stoppard, how the show transferred from Radio, to King's Head Theatre, to West End and finally to Broadway.
