Queer Season: Death and Dancing

Did you fancy me when I was wearing a leather jacket?

He and She, both called Max, are undergraduates, boxfresh on the London queer scene. He is self-assured, out and proud - but outrageously naive. When he meets She, a gender-fluid, gives no f*cks Londoner and instantly fancies her, his world is turned on its head.

Catfighting and play fighting across the rollercoaster ride of a riotous night out, He and She confront masculinity, femininity and their own prejudices.

Death and Dancing is a celebration of the messiness of being who you want to be - when you’re not yet sure of who, or what, that is.

Claire Dowie’s 90s hit is back in its first major revival. Thirty years on, this in-yer-face, punk-kitsch, kickass exploration of gender and sexuality remains as challenging and arresting as ever.

Everyone’s invited to the party. D’you wanna dance?
