The MP, Aunty Mandy & Me

A darkly comic tale about a political sex scandal & coercive control, from the writer of Gypsy Queen

Award winning writer of previous King’s Head hit Gypsy Queen returns with his latest show The MP, Aunty Mandy & Mea dark comedy about sexual misconduct in politics and coercive control in the gay community. Directed by Papatango Prize winner Clive Judd.

Meet Dom. He wants more than anything to be an #instagay #influencer but it’s hard when no one likes your posts, you can’t meet a guy who shares your passion for steam trains, and you live with your MDMA popping mum in a small northern village ten miles from the nearest gay. It’s all a bit of a struggle!

Then one day, a chance encounter with his local MP turns his world upside down. In pursuit of the life he thinks he wants, how much does Dom have to give up?

A co-production between Emmerson & Ward and We Are Survivors, a survivor led charity for male survivors for sexual violation, presented in association with Curve.

For this performance, Rob Ward recently won Outstanding Performance by a Male Identifying Actor at the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival.
