"People. Standing in a line. Looking for love. That is history. It’s a love story."

A rapid-fire, state-of-the-nation satire, & the very first play to be set in the context of the most absurd yet moving spectacle of 2022: the queue for the lying-in-state of Queen Elizabeth II.

A poignant & powerful play, packed full of laughs & tears, bringing together adulterous doctors, ailing drag queens, wannabe (Christian) rockstars, manic-depressive housewives, & placing them all in the queue formed to mourn a beloved, lately-departed monarch.

'Manages to be both moving & absurd, often at the same time' The Reviews Hub

'The Q shows us love, emotion and people coming together in the strangest of circumstances★★★★★ Theatre Tonic

Audience praise:

'The quick-fire dialogue commands attention, the action oscillates between comedy & pathos.... The sub-plots unfold beautifully'

'A poignant & beautifully written new play… outstanding. So relevant & relatable'

'As Ruth, co-star Madeleine Page carries us convincingly at every step along the way of her character’s cathartic journey'

'Mansel David’s joyous performance as Venetia leads us to the emotional core of the play'
