FACE DOWN IN THE DIRT
Drama + A Queer Interrogation

FACE DOWN IN THE DIRT

A pitch-black, razor sharp study of men, women, the system that seeks to destroy them & a love that transcends it all

This show is part of the Platform Festival. Explore the full season & find out more here!

A young woman, Ren, is discovered in the woods. Buried alive & up to her neck in soil.

Two women are under pressure to find out the truth. After all, they have targets to meet & colleagues to impress.

But Ren is refusing to speak. And the more she remains silent, the more extreme her interrogators become.

A world of systemic misogyny. An establishment that feels threatened. And, most of all, a love that is unconditional and pure.

Dark. Funny. Sad. And warm. FACE DOWN IN THE DIRT is Take My Word’s debut production.
