LGBTQI+ + A Queer Interrogation

Incitement to Riot

A dark and twisted evening of games as two generations collide in this new piece from the writer of THE CONVERT.

This show is part of the Platform Festival. Explore the full season & find out more here!

“The back of my toilet door is covered ceiling to floor in a collage of Barbra Streisand magazine cut outs so that my worship of her can continue even when I am shitting - yes I am a gay.”

Soho, present day, high above the smog.

Terry and Hal have been together for a long time. One’s a businessman. The other an artist. They’re stuck like glue. Parasites. In walks Freddie and Kyle – two 20 somethings who, on a fateful evening, bite off more than they can chew.

A cross between Dillon’s PARTY and Albee’s WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? Kavanagh’s Incitement To Riot is a darkly comic examination of generational differences and what is means to love in the worst kind of way.

Ben Kavanagh is an award winning actor, writer & director whose last play The Conveert, about the dangers of conversion therapy was nominated for Best New Play at the Off West End Awards and is currently being developed for the West End stage.
