Sofi is a Sri Lankan theatre producer hailing from Melbourne, Australia. She joined the King's Head team in 2022. Previously, she was the Producer & General Manager for VAULT Festival, General Manager of Olivier-award nominated Les Enfants Terribles & Producer of London’s Free Open Air Theatre Season at The Scoop. Sofi is the chairwoman for Iris Theatre based in Covent Garden.
As well as specialising in site-specific work, Sofi also independently produces a lot of new writing with first time playwrights through her company Metal Rabbit Productions at venues such as Soho Theatre, Park Theatre, Arcola Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Theatre503, St James’ Theatre & Arts Theatre. Sofi won an Off West End award in 2017 & is a Stage One bursary recipient. She also teaches masters students at Central School of Speech & Drama & Mountview Academy of the Arts.
Sofi is passionate about building sustainable models & careers for artists and producers, especially around new work.
