PRODUCING TRANS PERFORMANCE SYMPOSIUM 2024
An AHRC Funded Symposium
12-13th October 2024
This two-day hybrid symposium will be hosted by Kings Head Theatre, London as part of an AHRC Fellowship investigating transness and nonbinariness in performance. The audience will be a combination of artists, academics, and producers, along with members of the public, hosting panels on the challenges and opportunities for producing trans-led creative work in the UK today. The symposium is a chance to reflect on the work achieved to date in the development of ‘trans performance’ and to plot future directions in practice, policy, and programming cultures.
Hosted by Dr Rachel Hann, Northumbria University
