On Sunday 9 February 2020, the King’s Head Theatre is hosting the Big Birthday Bash for 450 guests at Porchester Hall. This exclusive, one-off event marks the historic North London venue’s 50th anniversary with an evening of fine dining, live performances from King’s Head alumni and special celebrity guests...
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with actor & writer Mark Gatiss (Sherlock, Doctor Who) and TV personality Gail Porter with further names to be announced in the coming days and weeks. Other VIP’s include the Bush Theatre’s Lynette Linton, Rikki Beadle-Blair MBE and celebrated playwright Martin Sherman.
The charity aims to raise £100,000 from the event, with all proceeds going towards its proposed new home as part of the Islington Square development, which would see the creation of a 250-seat auditorium and an 85-seat studio along with a bar, foyer and state of the art facilities for actors and audiences.
Artistic Director, Adam Spreadbury-Maher commented ‘Next month, we’re celebrating our birthday in style with one hell of a party. I hope you’re able to join us as we raise a glass to 50 wonderful years and help ensure we’re still around for the next 50.’
Tickets for the Big Birthday Bash are still available and can be purchased via the King’s Head Theatre website or by calling the Box Office on 02072 268 561.
